Dr Marsha Linehan reveals her own struggle with BPD

Dr Marsha Linehan, a leading US expert on Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and founder of an effective therapy treatment for the disorder Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), has ‘come out’ to reveal her own struggle with BPD in the New York Times (June 23, 2011) .

  1. this doesnt surprise me. i think that only someone with BPD can really understand another person with BPD. this is just my view from personal experience.

  2. i have not long finished the dbt programme and have found it be very helpful. knowing that marsha has experianced and felt the effects of bpd gives me some comfortthat marsha really understands.
