British and Irish Group for the Study of Personality Disorder: 11th Annual Conference

The British and Irish Group for the Study of Personality Disorder (BIGSPD) is holding its 11th Annual Conference from March 23-25, 2011 at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University. Registration is now open.

Formed in 2000, BIGSPD is a focus for academic and professional networking in the field of personality disorder.

The two-day conference is already attracting a number of keynote speakers including Professor Joel Paris (McGill University, Montreal) who will be talking about ‘Recent developments in the treatment of borderline personality disorder’. Other speakers will be announced as they are confirmed later this year.

Organisers are also delighted to announce that comedian Jo Brand is the special guest speaker at the gala dinner on the last night. To welcome delegates on the first night, a hog roast will be served followed by dancing.

Who should attend: mental health professionals, researchers, multi agency professionals, service users and carers.

The Early Bird rates are available until 31st December 2010.
Residential (includes accommodation at the conference venue on a dinner, B&B rate): Early bird: BIGSPD members – £390; Non-members – £410
Applications received after 31st December 2010: BIGSPD members and non-members – £430
Non-residential: Early bird: BIGSPD members – £190; Non-members – £210
