The changing patterns in practice of managing personality disorders have resulted in a number of new initiatives as well as endorsement of some of the traditional modes of practice. The complexity and diversity of people presenting to services has resulted in a number of innovative approaches across a spectrum of care. Some of these are evidenced at the conference. This conference will explore the work being done by a range of agencies from different settings and sectors and will explore the therapeutic methods and models that are used to treat these disorders with the aim to share experiences and best practice solutions to aid the therapeutic process. The day will look at current trends and initiatives and will contain a strong practical component.

Aims of the conference

The conference will focus on some innovative approaches to treatment and management of individuals with a personality disorder in a variety of settings. Delegates will:

  • hear from practitioners and key stakeholders about good practice projects
  • share experiences and good practice through interactive, in-depth seminars
  • take part in networking opportunities to strengthen partnership work
